Cinnamon is a popular weight loss spice that is known for its ability to balance blood sugar levels.

Studies show that cinnamon can help to lower insulin and blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity. [1]

Cinnamon is also helpful for reducing cravings and lowering inflammation in the body.

Cinnamon powder can be added to oatmeal, yogurt and tea to add sweetness without the sugar.

Cinnamon is also available in capsules.

Green Tea

Green tea contains powerful antioxidants, known as catechins that help with fat burning.

Catechins work alongside caffeine to increase thermogenesis, which is the process where the body burns calories to produce heat.

Matcha is one of the most potent forms of green tea but you can also drink regular green tea or try a green tea supplement.

Forskolin is an extract from the plant Coleus Forskohlii that helps to release fat from the cells so it can be burned as energy.

Weight loss spices

Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper is a spice that helps to boost the metabolism, suppress the appetite and reduce cravings.

Cayenne pepper raises body temperature, which boosts the metabolism. The higher your metabolic rate, the more calories you burn.

Cayenne pepper can be added to meat, soups and curries for extra flavor. You can also try a cayenne pepper supplement.

Cardamom is another popular weight loss spice that helps to boost the metabolism and reduce blood sugar levels.

Keeping blood sugar levels under control keeps insulin low, which increases the body’s ability to burn fat.

Cardamom also reduces the formation of gas, which leaves you feeling bloated.

Cardamom can be added to many savory dishes and even some desserts. You can also try cardamom capsules.

Gymnema is an Indian herb that helps to lower blood sugar and improve insulin levels.

Gymnemic acid, a compound found in Gymnema has been shown to assist with weight loss and inhibit glucose absorption. [3]

You can find Gymnema in capsules.

Ginger is a popular spice that is known for its anti-inflammatory properties.

It also helps to increase fat burning, improve digestion and improve insulin sensitivity.

Try drinking ginger tea or take ginger capsules.

Cumin is spice that can help to boost the metabolism, lower cholesterol levels, reduce blood sugar and decrease the inflammation associated with obesity.

It also helps to reduce bloating, gas and fluid retention.
