My name is Kelly Martin. I’m a qualified Nutritionist and Herbal Medicine Practitioner.

I’ve completed Advanced Diploma studies in Clinical Nutrition, Western Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy.

The information here at Natural Health Maven is for those that want to address the root cause of their health condition and find natural solutions to their health issues.

My journey from chronic illness to wellness

I spent years suffering from an autoimmune condition, chronic fatigue, inflammation and a compromised immune system.

I had moved away from my home town to a highly stressful government job in the city only months after my father had passed away and all of this combined turned my low grade symptoms into a chronic health condition.

After numerous visits to doctors, medical specialists and natural therapists, I was diagnosed with Sjogren’s syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, leaky gut, anxiety and adrenal fatigue.

Over the years I spent thousands of dollars and tried just about everything including prescription medications with nasty side effects and natural therapies including acupuncture, iridology, homeopathy, Chinese medicine, kinesiology and chiropractic but nothing seemed to get me better.

After a few years of feeling unwell and not able to life the life I wanted to, I decided to educate myself.

I studied naturopathy, nutrition and western herbal medicine and I was amazed by the body’s natural ability to heal when given the right support.

Once I got to the root cause of what was causing my health issues and healed my gut, supported my adrenals and got on top of my anxiety, I was finally able to start living life fully.

I’ve taken control of my health, my eating habits and my life.

Now I’m sharing what I’ve learnt along the way and what’s worked for me and the hundreds of clients I’ve worked with over the years.

I hope to teach and inspire others to take control of their health too.

  1. Could you lplease share which herbs you used in the beginning? I’ve tried googling, but each site I visit adds one or two more to the list.
    I have primary Sjogrens and I’ve just started my personal journey to heal my body through healthy eating. You’re right; it’s hard!
